The Spectrum 1000 air plasma cutting and gouging system from Miller Electric Mfg. Co. incorporates Auto-Line technology, which allows automatic connection to any primary input voltage from 208 V to 575 V, single- or three-phase, 50 Hz to 60 Hz.Ìý The Ultra-Quick Connect torch is said to allow fast plasma torch connection and removal, while the Auto-Refire feature controls the pilot arc when cutting expanded metal or multiple pieces of metal. This can reduce operator fatigue, the company says.
Ìý
A maximum cutting capacity of 1 1/4" (32 mm) and a sever cut capacity of 1 1/2" (38 mm) can be achieved. In addition to its cutting capabilities, the unit features gouging capabilities suited for hard-to-reach, heavy applications.Ìý According to the company, plasma arc gouging produces less dust, smoke and other environmental hazards when compared to carbon arc gouging.
