2014 National Robotics League Champions Named

Fifty-one student teams from 33 schools competed at the 2014 National Robotics League (NRL) Championships, held May 16-17 at Baldwin Wallace University in Cleveland, Ohio. Sponsored by the National Tooling & Machining Association (NTMA), the competition challenges student teams to design and build robots with the help of NTMA member companies. The student-built robots battled each other in a series of matches over the course of the two-day championship event.
The Final Cut team from North High School (North St. Paul, Minnesota) was named NRL Grand Champion. K.A.R.A. of Hempfield Area High School (Greensburg, Pennsylvania) achieved second place, and Stryx of Greater Latrobe Senior High School (Greensburg, Pennsylvania) took third. Awards were also presented to teams with the “coolest bot,” best engineered robot, best documentation and best team presentation.
