AMT—The Association For Manufacturing Technology will be welcoming aerospace expert Richard Aboulafia to the upcoming 2016 Global Forecasting & Marketing Conference (GFMC) taking place October 19-21 in Miami, Florida. Mr. Aboulafia will provide attendees with an analysis of the current state of the aerospace industry and what manufacturers can expect within this market segment in 2017.
A returning speaker to GFMC, Mr. Aboulafia is vice president of analysis at Teal Group and a recognized expert within the aerospace community. He routinely consults with and advises global aerospace companies, financial institutions and media outlets such as Bloomberg and the Financial Times.
Patrick McGibbon, AMT vice president, strategic analytics, says, “AMT is very pleased to be welcoming him back to GFMC, and attendees of this year’s conference will benefit greatly from his expertise. Richard will provide insights on opportunities in the increasingly competitive commercial market, the expansion in F-35 production and future investment news.”
Mr. Aboulafia has noted in the past that the aerospace industry fared better in the 2008 recession than any other manufacturing sector and has demonstrated continuing resilience in the years since. New opportunities in both defense and commercial programs will contribute to additional growth, with deliveries expected to exceed $200 billion in value per year by the end of the decade.
