GF Machining Solutions (Lincolnshire, Illinois), a division of GF, is acquiring Liechti Engineering AG, a five-axis milling machine specialist that produces blades and bladed disks for aircraft engines and power-generating turbines. GF CEO Yves Serra and Liechti Manager Ralph Liechti say that the partnership will serve both companies’ goals of serving the aerospace and energy sectors worldwide.
Both companies have cooperated over the last 10 years, with GF Machining Solutions acting as Liechti’s supplier. Liechti’s current management will remain in place and the company will continue to operate in its Langnau, Switzerland, headquarters.
