Jet Edge Hosts Seminar to Address Skilled Workforce Shortage
Sponsored by a group of Minnesota organizations, the event will focus on the present and future manufacturing workforce.

A “Workforce Tools and Applications” seminar on October 10 will address the growing deficit of skilled manufacturing professionals and outline the resources available to Minnesota businesses to counter the shortage. Hosted by the Wright County Economic Development Partnership and Central Minnesota Manufacturers Association, the seminar will take place 11:20 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Jet Edge’s St. Michael, Minnesota facility.
The event will include a lunch and networking hour followed by presentations from representatives of St. Cloud Technical College, Central MN Jobs and Training Services, and Enterprise MN. Speakers will discuss how Minnesota is addressing the call for a skilled manufacturing labor force and engaging youth in the industry. Presentations will explore the characteristics of tomorrow’s workforce, as well as the programs available to businesses today. Participants will have the opportunity to tour the Jet Edge facility following the seminar.
