The 20-inch Arboga Gear Head Drill Press from Palmgren is designed for precision drilling applications and continuous industrial use. Palmgren is the exclusive North American joint venture partner for Arboga and its line of drills.
The drill’s gear drive transmission reportedly delivers full power at any speed, driving the cutting tools at nearly 100% of the available motor horsepower. Palmgren says the helical ground gears ensure positive, quiet operation and make speed changes fast and easy.
Among the standard features on the #9680245 are a two-speed manual forward and reverse switch on 3 PH models and a two-speed manual forward switch on 1 PH model. The head and table rotate 360 degrees. Also standard are a machined & t-slotted table, quick release drill ejector and chuck guard. The drill comes with five-year warranty from Palmgren. Customers who purchase the drill will receive a four-inch Palmgren Drill Press Vise.
Palmgren and Arboga recently entered into a joint venture to offer the Arboga’s drilling machines throughout North America. Founded in 1932, Arboga is the oldest Swedish manufacturer of drill presses and has sold more than 650,000 units worldwide.
