ANCA will demonstrate its TXcell automated grinding cell, which integrates several manufacturing operations into a single production machine. The single-base cell is designed to provide automated part loading, high-precision grinding and quality assurance.
The grinding cell uses a single robot, which can automatically load grinding wheel packs and the workpiece, which is said to be useful for manufacturing rotary cutting tools. A second robot can be added to complete secondary operations unattended.
The company says that the TXcell’s multi-function processing capability, including grinding, part quality, accountability, detection of part numbers, inspection, cleaning and laser marking, enables a higher throughput than its existing machines.
