The 60120 JetMachining center from Omax is suitable for a range of production runs across industries including aerospace, energy and medical. The bridge-style waterjet can cut complex parts from a variety of materials including advanced composites, exotic alloys, traditional metals and rubber. With a high accuracy of motion, the machine accommodates components as large as 5 × 10 ft.
The waterjet features a 50-hp EnduroMax pump, a Tilt-A-Jet cutting head with automated taper compensation abilities and a rotary axis. It is equipped with Omax’s Intelli-Max software suite, which runs on the Windows operating system. The software precisely calculates the velocity of a tool path at over 3,000 points per inch enabling complete control over the motion of an abrasive waterjet, the company says. The software supports as many as six axes of coordinated motion for processing 3D components.
