The E-Z Burr Tool Company’s series of Small Hole carbide deburring tools can deburr hole diameters as small as 0.125" in exotic and hard-to-machine materials. This series adds to the company’s existing small-diameter HSS deburring tools. According to the company, these carbide tools can deburr as much as three to five times faster and last five times longer than HSS tools in the 0.125" to 0.25" range.
The tool design deburrs both the front and back of a hole in a single pass. It also allows for blade or insert change and cutting pressure adjustment while the tool is still in the machine. Each tool features a carbide insert attached to an HSS flex arm with a “dovetail” fit. The dovetail joint design requires no other mechanical fasteners. The flex arm is a one-piece construction that allows it to be changed just like the company’s HSS blades. A variety of coatings and geometries are available to handle a range of cutting applications.
