Collet-Ready Rotary Tables, Indexers Reduce Job Cost
Collet-ready spindle rotary tables and indexers manufactured by Hardinge accept a variety of standard tooling to grip parts of various shapes and sizes.

The company built the same A2 spindles into their rotary tables and indexers as in their Super-Precision collet-ready turning centers. This increases precision and quickens setup and change-over without requiring an adapter, the company says. The collet-ready spindles accept collets, step chucks, Sure-Grip expanding collets, FlexC quick-change vulcanized collet systems, custom collets, manual chucks and Sure-Grip power chucks. The tooling can be shared with common CNC lathes. Collets and chucks provide automatic centering of the part whether it is round, hexagon or square and use less storage space than custom-made fixtures, the company says. An adapter can be used to continue using existing fixturing.
