Exsys’ Compacto C-series base holder for modular quick-change tooling is designed to enhance the efficiency and productivity of CNC turning machines. Its compact size provides more space for machining in tight workspaces and offers improved torque transmission and rigidity for increased tool accuracy, according to the company. The holder’s short polygon shape connection (PSC) further adds to its precision and stability. A built-in release mechanism on the outer diameter of the base holder’s spindle provides optimum operator accessibility. Operators can lock and unlock adapters with a small allen key for fast and easier tool changes, and an automatic ejection feature also eases tool change.
Available for bolt-on and VDI-style turrets, the Compacto connection base holder accommodates fixed and rotary tools, including the Exsys Preci-Flex system, and accepts all standard PSC adapters. This enables adapters used in milling applications to work also in turning operations.
