In addition to unveiling a new high-performance milling machine, GF Machining Solutions will showcase the Form 20 die sinker EDM paired with the WorkPartner 1+ automation system to increase productivity through automatic electrode and parts loading and unloading. Accommodation for as many as 20 pallets offers potential for fully lights-out operation.
The Form 20 also features Intelligent Power Generator (IPG) technology, which reduces energy consumption to as low as 3.7 kW/h at full power. With every machine pulse, the 70-A generator continuously optimizes the EDM process to reduce electrode wear and ensure uniform surface finish, the company says. The machine reliably generates surface finishes of Ra 0.1 micron and radii down to 0.0007. The company adds that its AC Form HMI (human machine interface) ensures ease of use and flexible control.
