Two new Jabro Mini solid carbide end mill lines are available from Seco Tools Inc. The JM100 series is designed to machine hardened tool steels up to 65 HRc, and the 400 series machines aluminum and copper. The new series is complemented by a full range of solid carbide cutters that are said to provide productive machining for a range of applications in markets such as mold and die, medical, aerospace and general engineering.
Manufactured from micro-grain carbides, the application-specific end mill geometries are enhanced by a coating designed to provide heat and wear resistance. This allows greater productivity by increasing machining parameters and tool life while reducing tool changes and setup time. The tools are available in diameters ranging from 0.1 mm to 2 mm with ball- and bull-nose end configurations.
