The Aluminum Finisher/Double-Helix (AFDH) series features an unusual geometry that allows the tools to perform “double duty” operations, the company says. Although the end mills are designed primarily for finishing, they are also suited for roughing applications and are said to deliver excellent surface finishes in aluminum and other non-ferrous materials. Aggressive roughing can also be achieved with full engagement cuts of 1×diameter.
