BIG Kaiser has expanded its BIG-Plus line of toolholders by introducing extended gage lengths for its shell mill adapters and shrink-fit toolholders. The line’s CAT50 shell mill adapters are available standard in 8", 10" and 12" gage lengths on 1" and 1½" pilot diameters and 4" and 6" lengths on a 1¼" pilot diameter. The 1" pilot diameter with 10" and 12" lengths are designed with a tapered body for increased rigidity.
The CAT40 shrink-fit holders are available standard with a 6" gage length for 1/2", 5/8", 3/4" and 1" diameters. The holders are also available in 6" lengths for 3/4", 1" and 1¼" diameters. These toolholders offer high clamping forces, low runout and a small nose diameter to reduce clearance issues, the company says. Metric sizes are available upon request.
