Raptor Workholding Products’ RWP-006 dovetail workholding fixture is designed to hold large workpieces weighing as much as 80 lbs. The fixture, which is made from 7075 aluminum, features two heat-treated 17-4 stainless steel clamps that securely hold the workpiece without distortion, the company says.
A dovetail measuring 0.1875" × 2.25" enables the fixture to rigidly hold the workpiece while minimizing material waste, the company says. It enables loading and unloading in five-axis CNC machines while providing access to five full faces of the workpiece. The same setup and preparation can be used for every part to reduce clamping time and ease programming.
