LMT Fette offers its MultiEdge, four-feed, high speed, solid carbide milling cutter. Equipped with four cutting edges for roughing operations, this tool is a refinement of the company’s MultiEdge series with two cutting edges. The new tools have a cutting geometry that reduces the radial cutting power components and makes it possible to double feed rates, the company says, even when using conventional machines. This is said to reduce machining times and production costs. One feature enhancing the tool’s operating profitability is the design of the cutting area, which enables two regrinding operations. The AL2Plus-coated tools are available in diameters ranging from 4 to 12 mm.
