Hardinge will display the new Bridgeport XT 630 VMC, a five-axis machining center that is fully-digital and is designed for use in the aerospace, die/mold, medical and automotive industries.
The machine features X-axis travels of 762 mm (30"), Y-axis travels of 630 mm (24.8") and Z-axis travels of 600 mm (24"). The standard version is equipped with a direct-coupled Big Plus CT40 spindle providing 15,000 rpm and an oil chiller, as well as preparation for through-spindle coolant (with a rotary union). Additional features include a 40-tool swing-arm automatic toolchanger; pre-wiring for a Renishaw part probe; coolant chip flush system; through-ballscrew chiller; A and C axis encoder; and a Siemens 840D-SL CNC with a 19" LCD.
