Grades For General-Purpose, Interrupted Turning
The wear-resistant Super FF coating (Fine and Flat) on Sumitomo鈥檚 AC820P and AC830P grades is said to reduce the possibility of chip adhesion due to its smoothness. Combined with carbide substrates, the series is said to offer higher speed capabilities and greater resistance to breakage than conventional carbide grades when machining steels and stainless steels.

The AC820P is suited for general-purpose machining and is available with a variety of chip breakers, including the high-efficiency EGE. For interrupted applications, the AC830P can sustain more impacts than conventional P30 grades, the company says.
