The FZH HMC from Zimmermann is designed for parts as large as 630" × 122" × 39". Minimum part size in the X axis is 161".
Said to be well-suited for the aerospace industry, the machine features an updated pallet handling system and traveling column. The traveling column is water-cooled and avoids deviation increases as the slide extends. Rather, as the guide carriage distance increases, rigidity increases as well. The stepped drive guide contributes to constant geometry along the Z axis, as well as rigidity in sensitive areas of the workpiece.
