Available from Carr Lane Roemheld, Hilma's NC series standard hydromechanical vises feature built-in hydraulics. The hydraulic pressure is controlled by cranking the handle. This pressure can range to 11,000 lbs of clamping force in the largest vice offered.
The vises are available in three sizes. According to the company, they are easy to maintain and offer repeatability of 0.0004". Switching from small to large parts is accomplished by pulling the pin on the NC vise, sliding the power unit back and reinserting the pin. Each vise is equipped with a clamp-force indicating gage to increase precision and repeatability.
