OSG will showcase a variety of tools, including the Phoenix PFB indexable ballnose end mill, which offers radius tolerance of 6 microns for high precision, surface finish and tool life in finishing operations. The spiral cutting edge is designed for high strength and sharpness. According to the company, the end mill’s carbide shank reduces chattering and produces a favorable milling surface even when machining with a long projection length. They also are available in steel shanks to provide cost-effective performance when machining with short projection lengths. Four insert grades are offered to handle P20, H13 and stainless steels.
