Insert Grade For High Speed Machining

Share

Leaders-In background
CB7025 is an insert grade designed for interrupted cuts in case-hardened steel. According to manufacturer Sandvik Coromant, its fine-grain CBN controls wear and mechanically interlocks insert corners to provide strength and security. The company says these properties enable high machining speeds and provide the ability to finish components in one pass while maintaining surface quality. The grade is available in a range of positive inserts and two custom radius-wiper geometries. The 鈥揥H geometry is designed for high surface quality with reduced cutting forces, while the 鈥揥G geometry is designed for high-feed-rate finishing cuts.
