The MobileCollect wireless measurement collection system from MicroRidge Systems transmits measurements from any gage into any software program in real time. The system is compatible with any data collection software, the company says, from Excel spreadsheets to cloud-based solutions. Over 2,800 different gage devices from 45 manufacturers are supported. The system is used in the aerospace, automotive, energy and general manufacturing industries.
The system consists of Mobile Modules and/or Remotes (transmitters) and Bases (receivers). In situations with radio frequency (RF), machinery, robots or electrical noise, it is said to work unaffected.
Features include one Base that can connect hundreds of gages, with the ability to select the RF channel for communications (15 channels available); 32-bit data encryption for secure transmissions; an RF Sniffer built into the RS-232 and USB Bases to determine available RF channels; user-friendly Windows setup software if needed; and WedgeLink Xpress keyboard wedge software to transfer data into Excel and other Windows applications.
