Liebherr Automation Systems’ PHS Allround pallet handling system is designed to enable flexible production with four- and five-axis machining centers in a range of shops. The modular concept, available in three capacities, can handle loads weighing up to 3 tons and can be individually configured. Accommmodating pallet sizes ranging from 500 × 500 mm to 1,000 × 1,000 mm, the system can be expanded when necessary.
Customers can combine preconfigured modules to match production handling needs. The storage locations can be arranged in a circular pattern, with one or more machines, or in a line.
According to the company, the space-efficient system can expand a production system, spreading investment over different expansion stages.
The pallet handling system includes the company’s cell control, which is designed for ease of use. The graphic interface concentrates functions on the main computer. It can also enable enable full production control, including resource planning, cutting tools and NC data management along with interfaces to ERP systems.
