Stevens Engineering Inc. has introduced a design variation for its two-piece modular vise. The new design consists of a tapped hole pattern on the jaw faces that allows mounting soft jaws and custom-designed jaws in the Kurt mounting pattern.

The two-piece modular vises are designed for mounting on any Stevens grid pattern, and the fixed and movable jaws may be positioned at virtually any desired interval to accommodate a variety of workpiece sizes. An internal aspect of the movable jaw assembly prevents the work from rising as the vise tightens.
