United Grinding’s Blohm Aeromat multi-axis machine for small turbine components features linear motors designed to minimize idle time and improve cycle times. An integrated, 12-position grinding wheel and nozzle-changing system combines multiple wheels and abrasive types to improve process performance. The machine also can incorporate additional machining processes, including drilling and milling, in the same part clamping. Its offline programming system creates machining programs directly from part models and features full 3D simulation for fast setup.
