Diatool monobloc multi-blade reamers from Monaghan Tooling Group are said to produce precision bores with higher feed rates and reduced cycle times compared to single-point tools. The reamers can be repeatedly re-tipped a minimum of 10 times if the tool body is kept in good condition. According to Monaghan, re-tipped blades last as long as new blades, lowering the cost per bore and total cost of ownership. The monobloc construction is said to provide stability and high bore quality.
Standard tooling is available with short or long shaft lengths, with and without internal coolant supply, in diameters from 5.6 to 60.599 mm (with special diameters ranging to 100.599 mm). These reamers are designed for precision boring and reaming in industries such as automotive, aerospace, fluid power, oil and gas, and others.
