Multi-Spindle Offers Eight Independent Spindle Speeds
The MultiSigma 8 脳 24 produces complex parts in one setup. Eight independent spindles allow for high flexibility, while an integrated robot allows for the automatic unloading of parts into a pallet. The machine is supplied with the latest motorspindles, featuring synchronous motors.

The machine is supplied with the latest motorspindles, featuring synchronous motors. Each spindle functions independently of the others for cutting rpm, spindle stops and indexing. The independent speed settings of the spindles enable a range of cutting tools to be employed. This extends tool life and improves the quality of the components produced. Every position potentially being used as a C axis allows virtually any positioned transverse milling or drilling operation to be performed at any time and on all spindles. These spindles can be synchronized in angular fashion, meaning that positioned operations, such as eccentric drilling, can be performed at several different stations. The advantages to this system include optimum speed on each position in accordance with the type of machining required, capacity for stock removal, 鈥淭ransmit鈥 function, stopping and more.
Optional features include eight independent frontal units, Y axis, multiple toolholders, PC control and remote diagnostics. The machine also features double backworking stations and a double cycle for added tool capacity and double productivity. A multiple toolholder (turret) with four tools allows the user to perform four different operations or use sister tools for critical operations, all on one station.
