Stellar-brand inserted-nut grinding wheels, available from Norton Saint-Gobain Abrasives, are designed to offer longer life in double- and single-disc grinding. The new grinding wheels are suitable for applications in such industries as automotive, toolmaking and job shop/general machining.
According to the company, the grinding wheels last longer than other disc grinding products and require less dressing and parameter changes, increasing productivity. The wheels are also said to achieve higher material removal rates.
Norton’s Stellar grinding wheels are available in the company’s range of high-performance grains and bonds. Made to fit exact customer requirements, the wheels are available in diameters ranging from 8" to 42" and in grit ranges from 16 to 220.
