Schunk Magnos parallel pole, square pole and radial pole plates are designed to ensure reliable workpiece clamping, quick workpiece changes and efficient grinding.

According to the company, the square pole grinding plates with movable pole extensions can boost productivity by as much as 200 percent compared to conventional parallel pole solutions; ensure uniform, deformation-free clamping; and enable flat workpieces to be ground with micron precision regarding flatness and parallelism without multiple grinding operations, changes to the clamping configuring and time-consuming mounting. 

The compensating magnetic chucks are equipped with adhesive force regulation as standard to enable individual adjustment of adhesive force to the workpiece. The magnetic chuck design enables machining of extra-hardened workpieces and effortless removal from the chuck.

The grinding plates are said to be ideal for grinding large, thin workpieces with a material thickness of 4 mm or higher. With a grid size of 32 × 32 mm, the system can clamp small or narrow parts without deformation. The square pole plates can be clamped to already installed parallel pole plates for complementary clamping. The monoblock design is said to ensure stability and rigidity to minimize vibrations and improve surface finish. Additional stops can be installed in the threaded holes on the side, which is said to enable fast workpiece alignment. They are available in 12 standardized sizes, with individual dimensions also possible.
