In an effort to eliminate common judgment errors ad decrease presetting cycle times, Seco-Carboloy has enhanced its line of PWB tool presetting machines—including models TM4, TM10 and TM250—to now feature new digital imaging technology.
According to the company, the improvement in tool height accuracy increases machine uptime and productivity, which results in enhanced tool inspection and measurement. The company also offers T-CAM and E-PRO options to further expand capabilities. T-CAM, available on the TM10 and TM250, uses a camera and touchscreen to provide several different measurements simultaneously, while the E-PRO performs measurements, such as length, angle and circle.
Incorporated into the TM4 and TM250 models, “flying access” measurement and intelligent cross-hairs measure single tools, as well as tools with multiple inserts, such as milling cutters. This technology is said to automatically recognize and acquire the tool edge; it then selects the appropriate measurement method.
