Available from DCM Tech, the IG 281SD rotary grinder features variable spindle speed, feed rate and table speed for processing materials such as composites, ceramics and stainless alloys. The grinder can be tooled with vacuum, magnetic and mechanical workholding systems for processing an array of components. According to the company, it is useful for medical items, including alloy hardware for orthopedic reconstruction, piezo-ceramic elements for transducers and die and mold components used in the production of enclosures and housings.
