The CNCB450 Ultra Large Bore (ø205 mm) rotary table is the company’s solution to large-diameter bar work and oil patch applications. The rotary table features an 8" diameter through-hole and a clamping system.
The rotary table features a customized carbide worm system that incorporates a carbide worm screw and an ion nitrided worm wheel, rather than a bronze or bronze alloy actuation mechanism. According to the company, the result is a reduction in friction and wear. The worm screw consists of a V-grade form of carbide, while the worm gear is ion nitrided to a depth of 0.1 mm, with an external surface hardness of 68 Rc. The steel way is hardened to 58-60 Rc. This is intended to enhance rigidity and make the rotary table useful for high speed rotation, the company says.
