Seco Tools'round insert cutters are suitable for roughing and semi-finishing in face and copy milling applications. A hard nickel coating on the cutter body reduces chip wear, prolongs tool life and aids in chip evacuation, the company says.
In addition, cutter bodies for the 10-, 12- and 16-mm diameter inserts are designed to improve axial support in the pocket seat and provide stronger lock reserve. To provide stability and allow for more cutting edges, these inserts feature a round anvil shape and shorter anvil height. Inserts are available in IC diameters ranging from 6 to 20 mm, and tool bodies are available in Weldon shank or shell-mill styles.
