The cermet-tipped blades, known as CTC-1000, CSM-1000, CSS-1000 and ColdCut-1000, allow most metal to be cut faster and with less material lost to kerf. Their tooth material and design allow stainless steel and other hard materials to be cut with a finished edge. The cermet-tipped saw blades are said to work well with high-production cold saw machines, standard cold saw machines and chop saws.
