Available from Hybrid Systems, the Mark II heat-shrink tool-mounting unit uses a toolholder with an ID that is smaller than the tool itself. The system rapidly heats the toolholder, expanding its ID to allow tools to be installed or replaced. According to the company, it enables users to change tools in less than 10 seconds.
With output power of 10 KVA, it accepts tool diameters ranging from 1/4" to 1 1/4". Compatible toolholder styles include BT40, BT50, CAT50, CAT40, HSKH63 and more. The system does not require shop air or liquid coolant, and it features a fan-cooled coil and a toolholder slide rail that is built for durability.
