Version 8 of CGTech’s Vericut machine simulation software features feed rate optimization techniques for different materials and machining processes. Designed to simulate, verify and optimize all types of CNC machining, the system can operate independently or be integrated with CAM systems. A unifying focus of all recent releases has been the software’s full integration into the CAD/CAM and machine tool landscape, the company says.
This release focuses on optimizing workflow to quickly access only necessary menu choices in a given moment. The new Ribbon Bar enables users to find the functionality they need quickly, with minimal mouse clicks.
Vericut 8.0 also features several enhancements for analyzing, optimizing and documenting the CNC programming and machining process. Intelligence gathered from both the cut part and the machining process are applied to boost accuracy and efficiency. The software ties complex processes together with the ability to monitor and evaluate many potential problems in an efficient and consolidated way to save programming and machining time, the company says.
