Ganesh Machinery’s ASL boxway slant-bed CNC lathes are designed for efficient metal removal and heavy cutting loads. Four ASL models are offered: the ASL-8, ASL-10, ASL 15 and ALS-20.
The ASL-8 features an 8", three-jaw hydraulic chuck with a 2.5" through-bore, while the ASL-10 offers a 10" three-jaw hydraulic chuck with 3" through-bore. Swing over bedways is 20" while swing over the saddle is 12.5", and both models are available with turning lengths of 22" and 39". The ASL-15 offers a 15" three-jaw hydraulic chuck with 4" through-bore, and its swing over bedways is 24", while swing over the saddle is 15". The lathe’s maximum turning diameter is 19.6", and turning lengths of 27", 47", 66", 86" and 118" are offered. The ASL-20, the largest model, features a 20” three-jaw hydraulic chuck with a 6.5” through-hole. Its swing over bedways is 29" and swing over the saddle is 23". The lathe offers a 21" cutting diameter, and is available with 29", 47", 68", 88" and 125" Z-axis travels.
All of the models are equipped with a Renishaw tool presetter, a parts catcher and conveyor, chip wash-down and chip conveyor, and coolant oil-skimmer unit. A programmable tailstock and quill help to maintain consistent pressure to the workpiece, and the programmable tailstock body is moved by hydraulic pistons without stopping the machine, reducing downtime. The lathes are built on a Meehanite-processed, 45-degree cast iron true slant bed designed for improved vibration dampening and tool life.
