The company feature’s its “BB”-style solid carbide boring bars with both a corner radii and sharp corner. Both designs are offered as uncoated or with TiN coating as standard; are available in both left- and right-hand design; and offer a wide range of boring depths and sizes. The tools feature a lockdown flat that automatically locates the tool on center. Their surface finish on the face and cutting edge allows for better chip flow and extended wear life, the company says. The tools go through a carbide proprietary process, which is intended to allow them to absorb shock and dissipate heat, cut through interrupted cuts and not chip or break under normal machining conditions.
