The Exopro-WHR-Ni spiral flute and spiral point tap series from OSG Tap & Die is designed for nickel-based alloy applications. The spiral flute tap features a point flute design intended to improve cutting edge rigidity and help prevent chipping. The spiral point tap, designed for blind-hole applications, features a rake angle designed to protect against sudden tool wear. OSG’s HR coating is said to prolong tool life.
