The AGC 100 automatic grinding center is a two-axis (X and Z) grinding center that uses plated and vitrified CBN wheels to provide cost-effective, superabrasive, high-production applications.
The AGC 100 construction uses a high-tensile Meehanite, one-piece base and bed to provide required rigidity and vibration dampening for efficient superabrasive grinding and work spindle performance.
Other features include an easily accessible part-loading area; a precision 6,000-rpm spindle powered by a Fanuc direct-drive spindle motor with position orientation capability; a water-cooled direct-drive superabrasive machining spindle mounted stationary to the machine bed, ensuring minimized heat influenced and vibration-free performance; hydraulic or pneumatic part clamping; a central lubricatrion system for automatic lubrication to all slideways; and ballscrews.
Maximum swing is 4.0", X-axis travel is 9.6" and Z-axis travel is 9.4".
