The Mello P812 precision surface-grinding machine features a large crosswise grinding capacity measuring 850 × 1,200 mm. According to the company, the machine’s larger grinding capacity is well-suited for grinding molds, especially those requiring a more squared shape. The machine’s three axes are automatic, with sequence and cycles controlled by a PLC. Vertical movement provides an automatic down feed at the crosswise stroke reversals or at the table stroke reversals. The total amount of down feed, sparking-out strokes and automatic stop of machine movements is programmable. A servomotor for vertical movement features an electronic hand wheel and performs increments ranging to 0.001 mm.
