The VM 20 is the company’s modular system that incorporates grinding wheel balancing, touch sensing and gaging within one unit. With the addition of various function modules, the system can be configured to meet application-specific requirements. According to the company, the modules manage the essential variables to promote quality ground parts; they can be programmed from the systems panel or via program downloading/uploading.

Additionally, the system can be supplied as a shelf mount or rack mount (local or remote panel). The software package offers the option of integrating the system into a Windows-based control. A panel can control more than one rack for a total of four balancing modules, four touch sensing (gap elimination) modules, two gaging modules and four I/O multilink modules.

All data are displayed both graphically and digitally in one of five standard languages—English, Spanish, Italian, German and French. The system can be incorporated for use with a new grinding machine or as a retrofit on older models.
