OSG's Exotap A-Tap series is designed to achieve better chip evacuation, especially during blind hole tapping. According to the company, the all-purpose taps’ variable helix flute geometry stabilizes chip evacuation by producing tightly compacted chips. The taps are constructed with powdered high speed steel and a V coating to accommodate a range of cutting conditions. Designed for sharpness, the A-Tap is suitable for machining general, stainless and mild steel.
