To support and complete its modular workholding system, the company offers tombstones with solid machine pallets and integrated magnetic plates. The tombstones are offered in solid G30 cast iron with a double stress-relieving heat treatment or in high-resistance aluminum. A variety of shapes including cubes, crank-webs, angles, plates/subplates and shelves are available. Other workholding solutions can be requested from the company. The product is designed for HMCs and multi-pallet systems that require such structures to support the fixtures and workpieces in the presentation that offers the best use of space and part density. According to the company, the advantages of the tombstones include enhanced rigidity; fixture, machining and finishing accuracy; and reduced machine setup times.
