The Bock TriSystem, a six-station workholding system, allows a range of tool access angles on horizontal machining centers and on vertical machining centers equipped with an indexer.
Four-sided systems, such as the company’s MonoQuad models, can typically allow machining eight parts on three sides by permitting tool access through 180 degrees. This system can provide tool access on six parts through as much as 240 degrees.
Similar its four-sided counterpart, the system consists of a solid aluminum column with ground steel gliding surfaces, a two-station clamping mechanism and a snap-on quick-change jaw system. The clamping mechanism has a built-in “third hand” to expedite part loading, and the machineable jaws can be modified from one set up to the next.
Jaw widths of 4" (100 mm) and 6" (150 mm) are available. Base plates are customized to accommodate the customer’s pallet or indexer systems.
