Hardinge Inc. is expanding its line of turning centers by introducing two SV-Series two-axis machines, based on the Talent platform. Appropriate for carrying out job shop work or high-volume production, the company-designed and built SV 150 and the SV 200 machines combine the features and performance associated with the company’s high performance lathes.

The company says that this series is intended to offer quality and performance to users who may not need the features of the company’s existing high-end lathe lines. Product features include a 20-hp, 15 kW spindle drive; a pendent-mounted Hardinge/Fanuc-SV color LCD control; a 45-degree, one-piece cast iron base for maximizing rigidity; custom macro B (user-definable macros); and more.
