TalonGrip System’s vise jaws use two or more pairs of hardened tool steel grips that touch 0.06" of material when clamping a workpiece. According to manufacturer, the grips penetrate into the workpiece, resisting part movement during machining on materials ranging from tool steel to soft plastics. The grips are reversible and adjustable laterally within each jaw.
The jaws have a 1/8"-wide rest surface, which eliminates the need for parallels, the company says. The jaws fit most 4" and 6" vises as well as 2" extended versions.
