Enshu USA’s GE300Ve vertical machining center is specifically designed for efficient production of small parts in a lean line. The machining center’s 1,150 × 3,200-mm footprint makes it possible to install multiple machines side by side within a limited amount of floor space, reducing workpiece transport time. Overhead gantry access or robot loading enables multiple GE300Ve machining centers to be used with unmanned automation systems.
The X-, Y- and Z-axis travels measure 600 × 600 × 400 mm, giving the VMC the loading capacity and space to accommodate an NC rotary table. Rapid traverse rates are 50,000 mm/min. (1,969 ipm). The machining center is available with either a 13,000-rpm, 30-taper spindle or an 8,000-rpm, 40-taper spindle. It is equipped with a 24-tool-capacity magazine and a FANUC 0i-MD control.
